Structure and Content
The bachelor's degree program in business administration includes compulsory and elective modules, whereby the modules are grouped into module groups. The content of your studies is based on general business administration as well as law, economics and methods. The further specialization options are wide-ranging: You can choose between the various areas of special business administration, through which you can make an initial specialization within your studies. The program can be studied with or without specialization in Business Education. In addition to a two-month compulsory internship, you will have the opportunity to study abroad for one or two semesters and acquire additional skills in dealing with intercultural challenges. Finally, in the Bachelor's thesis, you will independently address a selected business research topic. Students who choose the Bachelor of Business Administration program complete modules in the following module groups:
In the module group General Business Administration, modules amounting to 60 ECTS credits must be completed. An introduction is given to the areas of banking and financial controlling, business taxation, financing and investment, innovation management, marketing, organization, human resources management, production management and logistics, international accounting and auditing, and corporate management and controlling. The modules are especially designed to teach basic concepts and basic issues of business administration and also to show the interconnectedness of the subfields.

The module group Law, Economics and Methods comprises modules worth 48 and 54 ECTS credits, respectively. In this module group, students are introduced to the contents and methods of microeconomic and macroeconomic theory. Students should be able to understand and assess important economic relationships and problems from a microeconomic and macroeconomic perspective. Furthermore, a basic introduction to the legal framework of economic activity and introductions to the fundamentals of contract law (including contract types) and corporate law are given. Students will be enabled to recognize and problematize interactions between economic activity and private and public law. Furthermore, an introduction to the methods of statistics and econometrics, mathematics and accounting is given.

In the module group Special Business Administration of the Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, modules from two of the elective compulsory subjects available for selection must be completed, of which 12 ECTS points are allotted to one elective compulsory subject each. The study of elective subjects is intended to provide in-depth knowledge and methodological skills in a Special Business Administration. Possible subjects are:

In the module group Foreign Business Language, students deepen their foreign language skills in the context of economics, so that these can be used purposefully in a practical professional activity and scientific context. For this purpose, competences in one of the following foreign languages of economics are taught:

In the module group Profile Formation, students expand their profile with another elective subject of Special Business Administration or deepen their knowledge from affiliated subject areas such as Law, Economics and Methods.

In the module group Compulsory Internship, students complete an internship with a total duration of two months, which remains ungraded. In this context, evidence must be provided of a practical professional activity in business, business administration or in national, international or supranational organizations that is suitable for the educational objective.

The module Bachelor thesis serves the independent, scientific processing of a set topic.
