"Let's Talk!"

Together with the student representatives, the Institute for English and American Studies now offers its students the opportunity to exchange viewpoints with each other and guest experts on a wide variety of topics in an informal discussion group once per semester.
Next time, the discussion group will meet on Thursday, May 21, 2026, 4-6 PM (s.t.) in room U5/01.18 (An der University 5, first floor up). Pre-registration will not be necessary! Barrier-free access to the room is available via the elevator.
We will then talk about how to manage stress as it relates to your studies: from procrastination to test anxiety. We are very excited to have three experts join our talk, sharing their respective experiences and advice:
- Kathrin Jager (Projekt Mind Matters – Health Management, University of Bamberg)
- Jeannette Schuh (Student, Co-Director of Nightline Bamberg)
- Carmen Herrmann (Former Research Assistant, Center of Excellence for Counseling in School Settings)
There will be ample opportunity to ask questions and exchange ideas with the invited experts and fellow students - before, during, and after the coffee break!
Alternatively, you can anonymously submit questions and comments in advance to the organizers, who will then pass them on to the experts during the discussion. You can either use the mailbox for this specific purpose in the U9 building (on the ground floor, to the left of the entrance, marked in orange) or the following link: CryptoPad (entries are anonymous).
If you have any questions or comments, the organizers can be contacted via email:

We look forward to meeting you (again) in the summer term 2026 and wish you a wonderful time until then!
