NFDI Consortium Text+ – Language and text-based research data infrastructure
The federal-state agreement of November 26, 2018 laid the foundation for the development and promotion of a national research data infrastructure, which aims to make the data treasures from science and research available in accordance with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable). To this end, up to thirty method- or discipline-specific consortia will be funded and set up in a selection process staggered over three years, which will be carried out by the DFG. The individual NFDI consortia are coordinated by the National Research Data Infrastructure Association (NFDI) e.V. and its bodies.
The Text+ consortium, which has been funded since October 2021, is building a research data infrastructure focused on language, writing and text data, initially concentrating on digital collections, lexical resources and editions. The University of Bamberg is a consortium partner in the Text+ consortium and is involved in the "Infrastructure/Operations" task area. As a member of the NFDI association, she is also involved in cross-consortium topics.
In the "Infrastructure/Operations" task area, the Media Informatics Chair works primarily on the technical infrastructure for providing research data in accordance with the FAIR principles. Specific work includes topics related to data integration and search.
