Motivation:

I was interested in taking part in the nmun because I am very interested in politics and the current political situation. Since I am particularly interested in the United Nations, I would like to get to know the organization better. I also wanted to explore the work of a diplomat and get a taste of the procedures myself. Based on that, I also wanted to improve my speech delivery skills. Furthermore, I always appreciate the opportunity to meet new people and establish new contacts.

The NMUN advertisement showed me very clearly what a huge opportunity it was to potentially be a part of the project. Not only would we be able to learn about diplomatic work and the ways of UN practice but get to experience it firsthand paired with a once in a lifetime trip to the New York UN headquarters. I'm looking forward to make all the experiences I can here.

Motivation:

This is a great chance for practical training in politics, international relations, parliamentary procedure and debating. You can practice all kinds of skills and come into contact with a lot of interesting people. For people that study political science, it seemed ideal. Also doing a deep dive of knowledge into a country previously known very little about, inspires with new concepts and widens the horizon.
