Vera Hebel joined the Professorship of Work and Organizational Psychology in July 2021 as a research associate, working in the PsyGesA project (Psychische Gesundheit im Arbeitskontext; Engl: psychological well-being in the work context). During the project, she worked on developing a scale to identify job demands and resources economically and provide individuals with a comprehensive tool to improve their psychological health. Furthermore, she regularly held workshops on mental health in the workplace. From October 2022 to October 2025, she took on the role of teaching seminars about various topics in the field of Work and Organizational Psychology. Since October 2025 she works in the private sector as a senior consultant.
Her focus lies on leader and employee well-being. Therefore, she studies job demands and job resources. Additionally, she is interested in how working in a digital world, relying on information- and communication technology (ICT), influences people’s well-being.
Vera Hebel studied Psychology (B.Sc. and M.Sc.) at the University of Bamberg, specializing in personnel selection and development. She also holds a Business Administration degree and Economics (B.Sc.) from the University of Passau.
