Judith Volmer has been Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Bamberg since April 2013. After completing her doctorate at the TU Braunschweig (Dr. rer. nat.), she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Habilitation in 2011). From 2010 to 2012, she was an interim professor of work and social psychology at the University of Bamberg. Stays abroad were at the German-American Chamber of Commerce in New York, New York University (NYU), Portland State University (PSU), and the University of Bologna, Italy.
Her research focuses on leadership in complex and digital environments, digital health prevention in organizations, and sustainable career development and management. Her work is published in high-impact, peer-reviewed international journals (e.g., Leadership Quarterly, Human Resource Management Review, Human Performance, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology). She is also active on scientific advisory boards, a peer reviewer for journals and funding organizations, and a mentor.
