The Faculty of Information Systems and Applied Computer Science awards the academic degree of doctor rerum politicarum (Dr. rer.pol.) in the field of Information Systems, and the degree of doctor rerum naturalium (Dr. rer. nat.) in the fields of Applied Computer Science and Computer Science.

Bewerber*innen, die sowohl Hochschulzugangsberechtigung als auch weitere Hochschulabschlüsse au?erhalb Deutschlands erworben haben, müssen im Welcome Center eine erste Zulassung beantragen.

For applicants with a foreign university degree, these documents are also required:
- Application for recognition of the foreign university degree
- Admission letter or equivalence certificate from the Welcome Center
- If the university degree certificate is not issued in German, English or French, a corresponding translation prepared by a sworn translator.
