The educational goal of sustainable development is considered an essential component of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The different steps to achieve this objective demonstrate the necessary commitment of society and (education) policy.
By systematically theologically grounding the concept of sustainability in spiritual intercultural openness, considering it from a systems-theoretical perspective and developing it in a multidimensional and multiperspectival educational context, the underlying thesis is reflected: Sustainability is a fundamental dimension of religious education.
As the curricular perspectives of the orientation framework for the learning area of global development, the presentation of international networks and the discussion of quality standards for teacher training show, the focus is directed far beyond subject boundaries. In this way, (religious) teacher training becomes a didactic and methodological space for participatory democracy education ¨C both in relation to self-reflective lifelong learning and in the context of successful global citizenship.
The overall result is an enabling didactic concept for sustainability-oriented training of Religious Education teachers. With a focus on freedom and responsibility, it can be applied in a way that serves the individual and is global in the perspective of an ecumenism that opens up interculturally. This closes the circle to ecclesial, ecumenical and interreligious impulses for the realisation of justice, peace and the preservation of creation. Religious Education teachers will be empowered to become 'change agents' ¨C with the vision of a democratic and sustainable society as a task of teacher education.

Derweil wird die n?chste Vorlesung der Kinder-Uni vorbereitet und ¨¹ber ein neues Design f¨¹r ein T-Shirt mit Hochschullogo diskutiert ¨C Beispiele aus dem Alltag der 球探足球比分stellen und Kommunikationsabteilungen an deutschen Hochschulen. Doch seit wann sieht deren Arbeit so aus und wie gestaltete sie sich in fr¨¹heren Zeiten?
Dies wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit am Beispiel dreier Universit?ten aus dem nordbayerischen Raum, der Otto-Friedrich-Universit?t Bamberg, der Universit?t Bayreuth und der Friedrich-Alexander-Universit?t Erlangen-N¨¹rnberg, untersucht. Dabei wird ein Bogen gespannt von der jeweiligen Gr¨¹ndung der Hochschule bis in die Gegenwart. Begonnen bei der Verleihung der akademischen Privilegien an die fr¨¹hneuzeitlichen Bildungseinrichtungen und deren glanzvollen Inaugurationsfeiern, die bereits der Au?en- und Selbstdarstellung dienten, werden im weiteren Verlauf die verschiedensten Formen der akademischen Repr?sentation beschrieben; seien es Personen- und Vorlesungsverzeichnisse, traditionsreiche Siegel, Fahnen, M¨¹nzen und Geb?ude, bis hin zu den modernen Marketingma?nahmen der Universit?ten im 21. Jahrhundert. Dabei bestehen Unterschiede sowohl zwischen der 1648 er?ffneten Universit?t in Bamberg und der 1743 er?ffneten Universit?t in Erlangen, als auch zur Universit?t Bayreuth, wo der Lehrbetrieb im Jahr 1975 startete.
Ausgewertet wurden zahlreiche Original-Quellen, womit eine umfassende Deskription geleistet wird. Vor allem die sich in den Archiven der drei Universit?ten befindlichen Dokumente wurden bis dato vielfach noch nicht wissenschaftlich untersucht. Erg?nzend wurden Interviews mit ehemaligen 球探足球比分referenten und aktuell t?tigen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern der Kommunikationsabteilungen der drei Universit?ten gef¨¹hrt.
Zusammenfassend ist festzustellen, dass es insbesondere an Einzelfallstudien mangelt, die sowohl die Entwicklung akademischer Au?endarstellung und Repr?sentation als auch die Genese institutionalisierter 球探足球比分- und ?ffentlichkeitsarbeit bis hin zum Aufbau der heutigen 球探足球比分stellen und Kommunikationsabteilungen thematisieren, wobei vor allem die Zeit ab dem 20. Jahrhundert wenig erforscht ist. Die vorliegende Arbeit tr?gt dazu bei, diese Forschungsl¨¹cke in Bezug auf die Otto-Friedrich-Universit?t Bamberg, die Universit?t Bayreuth und die Friedrich-Alexander-Universit?t Erlangen-N¨¹rnberg zu schlie?en.

Especially the digitalisation of communication in media and society has significantly altered the object and framework conditions of traditional models for explaining voting behaviour. A model seeking to explain electoral behaviour that does not allow for the integration of information flows with regard to the electorally relevant object ¡®political party¡¯ does not (or no longer) recognise social realities. With the party-image-model developed in this monograph, which was empirically confirmed for the two German parties CDU and SPD, this fundamental requirement for explaining individual voting behaviour in the digital age of the 21st century is fulfilled. In addition, voting decisions can still be explained even if party loyalties in the population are decreasing in numbers and strength. Since party images - measured via hard and soft party image components - as heuristics are of central importance for both the information processing and the voting decision process of individuals, they also allow for the simultaneous consideration of voter-oriented and media-oriented perspectives on voting behaviour. Thus, on the basis of party images and their possible interpretations, (new) answers can be given to questions regarding the reasons for swing vote, abstention from voting, dealignment or realignment. Furthermore, the question of a reinterpretation of ¡®party identification¡¯ as a political and not a party-related self-image of the individual can be raised. On the other hand, party images provide the foundation for a reassessment of media effects on voting behaviour and, in particular, on the electorally relevant object political party - in an increasingly fluid and volatile party system and electorate.

How does an established type of press face the competition of new, incomparably more successful media formats? This question was already of concern to the political press of the late 19th century in wake of the urban popular press. Through mutual differentiation and adaption a new type of press resulted here which marks the breakthrough of modern journalism in Germany prior to the First World War. This development has previously only been empirically described for a few pioneering papers within the very diverse press landscape of the time.
This thesis studies how the main paper of the biggest political party in Wilhelmine Germany dealt with the ¡®unleashing of mass communication¡¯ at the turn of the century. Selected issues of the social-democratic "Vorw?rts" from the years 1896, 1906 and 1913 were examined in a systematic historical content analysis to deliver a comparative description of their journalistic expression. The form, content and structure of the "Vorw?rts" thus show the modernisation of a political paper caught in the conflict between broader developments in press history and the specific qualities of its party.

The present study was conducted to investigate the perceptions of protestant school leaders on the relationship between the protestant school profile and quality education in Rwanda. The choice of the topic was based on the recognized contribution of the protestant school profile to quality education improvement and on the research gap on this relationship in Rwanda. The research process was guided by the following main research question: What are the perceptions of protestant school leaders on the protestant school profile and its relation with quality education? To achieve the study objective, a qualitative research approach was adopted using a semi-structured interview to collect data by use of theoretical sampling. For data analysis, qualitative content analysis was used. Through the abduction process, three types of profiles were generated, including vocation-based, Institution-based, and socio-spiritual profiles. The discussion of the results in light of the existing literature highlights a positive contribution of the protestant school profile to quality education, limited to quality output. Additionally, the discussion demonstrates a positive contribution of the protestant school profile to the promotion of unity and reconciliation in Rwanda, to the economic development of Rwanda, as well as to the promotion of religious plurality. Finally, recommendations are addressed to different stakeholders in protestant education in Rwanda including school leaders, school owners, the protestant council of Rwanda, and the Ministry of education.

This study focuses on exploring subjective theories of teacher educators about quality teaching in the context of their profession in Rwanda. It is based on determinant role of subjective theories in educational quality improvement. Additionally, teacher educators are the driving forces due to their role in the initial and continuous teacher education. However, empirical research on teacher educators¡¯ subjective theories is very limited in the Global South including Rwanda. Due to the exploratory nature this study, a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews was used to collect data from 32 teacher educators theoretically sampled. Using content analysis, iterative deductive-inductive process as well as the generalisation of results through abduction, the results show that interviewed teacher educators have four ideal types of subjective theories. They include subjective theories focusing on: formalities by compliance (following pedagogical and administrative formalities); knowledge by transmission (transmission of immutably prescribed knowledge); behaviour by imitation (learning by imitation) and competences by co-construction (development of competences through active, interactive and reflective approaches). The generated typology enlightens research, policy and practice regarding quality teaching and teacher education in Rwanda and possibly similar contexts.

Vicent Andr¨¦s Estell¨¦s is considered the most important Valencian poet of the 20th century, although his success is not only based on the hermetic circles of the professional literary world; when old cultural languages such as Catalan were finally no longer excluded from cultural life in the young Spanish democracy after Franco's death, a rediscovery of its own language, culture and history began in Valencia. Estell¨¦s became a literary figure of identification for this movement with his poetry, which was both colloquial and classically formed, often cheeky but always human, and whose verses were often sprayed on the walls of Valencia by rebellious youths.
The work translated here is a cycle of 22 poems which, carefully coordinated, can be read like scenes from an experimental black-and-white film from the 1950s. The Hotel Par¨ªs of the title is a hotel by the hour in the disreputable Barrio Chino in Barcelona, where, as a chronotopos, people's destinies intersect. This sleazy hotel becomes a metaphor for the whole of Franco's Spain with its poverty, moral dishonesty and general wretchedness. However, an important theme of the cycle is probably the position of women in this system. Women appear here as defenceless objects of ruthless men, as commodified whores - but also as wives who are completely fixated on their husbands. But the men are ultimately victims here too. The fact that a less hypocritical and alienated world can also be possible flashes up in the scenes in which the home village appears as a counter-image: short camera pans to an alternative world.
As an artist whose working medium is the (Catalan) language, Estell¨¦'s international projection has so far been limited - unlike that of the visual artists of his generation such as Joan Mir¨®, Antoni T¨¤pies or Salvador Dal¨ª, whose means of expression are universally understandable. However, it is precisely this circle of Catalan artists in which his work should be categorised. This edition and translation was produced as part of the ¡®A?o Estell¨¦s¡¯, which the Diputaci¨® de Val¨¨ncia and the Spanish Ministry of Culture have proclaimed for 2024 to mark the centenary of the poet's birth; the German edition is being published alongside the English translation by Dominic Keown from the University of Cambridge.

School-related internships in teacher training programmes are the first and earliest insights students gain into their future professional practice. In recent years, these learning opportunities have been the subject of considerable academic debate. Various stakeholders in schools and at universities are engaged in facilitating students¡¯ acquisition of these experiences, and they are collaborating to guarantee optimal learning outcomes. This edited volume addresses matters pertaining to the practical aspects of school studies as part of the training programme for teachers at the University of Bamberg. In the context of completing the project ¡®SchulPrax¡¯ (Weiterentwicklung schulpraktischer Studien, i.e., the further development of practical school studies), which was initiated in the Bamberg WegE-project of the Qualit?tsoffensive Lehrerbildung, the editors of this book compiled a collection of contributions from various working groups involved in practical school studies. The focus is on the learning of students during their school internships and their supervision by trainee teachers (Part I). Furthermore, using evidence-based models, the scientifically founded further development of practical school studies is described (Part II), for example, through the supervision of school internships using e-portfolios. In addition, the volume provides insights into internships across different school subjects (Part III) and this includes concrete concepts of different general and subject-specific didactic internships related to the teaching profession. The contributions thus provide impulses for the further development of practical school studies for individual subjects and beyond.

Ausgehend von historiografischen und modernen Seneca-Darstellungen, das hei?t Seneca-Bildern, sowie Senecas Selbstbild zeigt die Arbeit, dass sich jedes Seneca-Bild mit der ?bereinstimmung von Worten und Taten (?TW) befasst. Unklar ist jedoch stets, was die ?TW meint. Die Untersuchung ergr¨¹ndet anhand von Senecas De Uita Beata und den Epistulae Morales sowie aus Perspektive der stoischen Philosophie, verstanden als ars uitae (Lebenskunst), dass sich die ?TW aus kommunizierten sensus ergibt, die durch Worte und Taten impliziert werden. Die ?TW sowie der Widerspruch von Worten und Taten (WWT) lassen sich anhand der stoischen Dialektik formal darstellen und f¨¹r die heutige Forschung aufbereiten. Daraus l?sst sich Senecas ?TW-Konzept rekonstruieren, das verschiedene ?TW-Arten (zeitlich begrenzt, partiell oder generell) beinhaltet. Seneca unterscheidet dabei, dass nur der Weise (sapiens) die generelle ?TW und damit das gl¨¹ckliche Leben im Sinne der Stoa erlangen kann. Der Fortschreitende (proficiens), den Seneca hinsichtlich dreier Stufen der partiellen ?TW differenziert, kann zwar kein gl¨¹ckliches (beata), aber zumindest ein ertr?gliches (tolerabilis) Leben erlangen. Personen der Menschenmasse (turba) sind nicht einmal dazu f?hig und k?nnen h?chstens eine zeitlich begrenzte ?TW umsetzen. Eine kritische W¨¹rdigung des Konzeptes zeigt, dass die unterschiedlichen ?TW-Arten prinzipiell im Sinne einer ars uitae realisiert werden k?nnen. Einzig der stoische Determinismus ist als starker Einwand gegen das Konzept zu verstehen, da er impliziert, dass Personen (entgegen dem Versprechen der Stoa) nicht frei dar¨¹ber bestimmen k?nnen, ob sie eine jeweilige ?TW-Art verwirklichen k?nnen oder nicht.

Since 2004, Joachim Kuegler has intentionally focused on promoting and accompanying Biblical Studies in Africa, beginning with a focus on Zimbabwe¡¯s budding biblical scholars that he mentored. Over the years, the work of Joachim has spread to include Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Botswana, South Africa, Kenya, Namibia and Nigeria. Not only did Joachim do the one mile, he went the extra mile in his embrace and support of Biblical Studies in Africa. This volume is a reflection on Biblical Studies in Africa and a celebration of the immense contributions of Joachim Kuegler to this field. The launch of the Bible in Africa Studies (BiAS) Series in 2009 remains one of his greatest contributions, giving visibility and voice to scholars that would have struggled to get one and bringing on board renowned African Biblical scholars whose presence established BiAS as a credible player in Biblical Studies in Africa and beyond. In this volume, only a small number of scholars reflect on Biblical Studies in Africa, while others reflect directly on Joachim¡¯s contributions. "Tr?umerisch haftet der Blik auf den schlanken Minarets der alten Dome der Christenheit, nur ungern nimmt man von ihnen Abschied, wenn nicht der heimliche Gedanke des Wiedersehens aufk?me, denn das Sprichwort sagt: Wer einmal Taksim Wasser getrunken hat, der kommt wieder!"
Diese wehm¨¹tigen Gedanken notiert der Botaniker Carl Haussknecht am 13. Februar 1869 im damaligen Konstantinopel in sein ¨C hier erstmals in Buchform ver?ffentlichtes ¨C Tagebuch. Er befindet sich auf dem R¨¹ckweg nach Weimar, nachdem ihn zwei Reisen, oft abseits bekannter Wege, drei Jahre lang durch das Osmanische Reich bis nach Persien gef¨¹hrt haben. Ende 1868 nimmt er in Teheran sogar an einer Audienz beim Schah teil, der gro?es Interesse an Stationen seiner Reise und seinen kartografischen Aufnahmen zeigt. Neben der haupts?chlichen Aufgabe des Sammelns von Pflanzen h?lt Haussknecht aber nicht nur botanische und topografische Informationen fest. Er befindet sich auf dem R¨¹ckweg nach Weimar, nachdem ihn zwei Reisen, oft abseits bekannter Wege, drei Jahre lang durch das Osmanische Reich bis nach Persien gef¨¹hrt haben. Ende 1868 nimmt er in Teheran sogar an einer Audienz beim Schah teil, der gro?es Interesse an Stationen seiner Reise und seinen kartografischen Aufnahmen zeigt. Neben der haupts?chlichen Aufgabe des Sammelns von Pflanzen h?lt Haussknecht aber nicht nur botanische und topografische Informationen fest. This study explores the learning acquired by the Protestant church¡¯s leaders with regard to partaking in global encounters. It was conducted in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a Sub-Saharan country that has been facing heavy crises due to armed conflicts and unstable political institutions for decades. The study focuses on the church leader¡¯s learning outside academy, as they get in touch with other people and places globally. The research discourse sums up what education or learning would be as ¡®lifelong learning¡¯. For church leaders from the Democratic Republic of Congo, so far, no research has been conducted about their global and informal learning, their global encounter-related experiences and the implemented improvement ideas brought from abroad. Being conceptualized as a qualitative empirical research, the relating data were collected using individual semi-structured interviews with 28 Protestant church leaders from three major Protestant church denominations in the area of study. From the content analysis applied to them, five ideal types of learning from global encounters emerged, namely the personal well-being-oriented learning, the own ministry-oriented learning, the local society-oriented learning, the organisational change-oriented learning, and the world society-oriented learning. These types were discussed in light of quality global/informal learning and its importance in shaping both local and global societies. Recommendations for practice and further research close the study.

Organisationale Schrumpfungsprozesse sind ein wenig beforschtes Gebiet. Im deutschsprachigen Raum und im Bereich der Erforschung von Nonprofit-Organisationen gibt es dazu kaum wissenschaftlicher Beitr?ge. Mit der vorliegenden qualitativ ausgerichteten Forschungsarbeit werden am Beispiel von Einrichtungen der evangelischen Erwachsenenbildung Organisationen untersucht, die bereits einen Schrumpfungsprozess hinter sich haben. Ziel ist es, das explizite und subjektive Erfahrungswissen von Betroffenen ¨¹ber Prozessverlauf, Merkmale, Gr¨¹nde, Bew?ltigungsformen sowie ¨¹ber die Auswirkungen einer organisationalen Schrumpfung auf die betroffenen Mitarbeitenden zu beschreiben. Gleichzeitig werden Grundhaltungen herausgearbeitet, die als Hintergrund individueller Schrumpfungsbew?ltigung gedeutet werden k?nnen. Die Datenauswertung orientiert sich an der Qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse. Die kategorienbasierten Ergebnisse werden ausf¨¹hrlich dargestellt und in Form einer Typenbildung verdichtet. Im Disskussionskapitel wird das Fehlen einer ?Theorie der Schrumpfung¡° problematisiert. Daneben werden die Chancen herausgearbeitet, die trotz aller Problematik in organisationalen Schrumpfungsprozessen liegen k?nnen. Als weiterer Aspekt wird die Weiterentwicklung einer Organisation als Entwicklung zwischen den beiden Polarit?ten ?Wachstum¡° und ?Schrumpfung¡° sowie ?Wandel¡° und ?Stabilit?t¡° diskutiert. Den Abschluss bilden praxisrelevante Implikationen zum Lernen einer pragmatischen Haltung in Bezug auf organisationale Schrumpfungsph?nomene sowie Anreicherungen f¨¹r die weiterf¨¹hrende Forschung.

This study investigates the perceptions of teachers of change in schooling. It is contextualized in the After-Genocide Rwanda; a period marked by a plethora of social and economic transformations as well as sporadic educational changes. Similarly, the world is experiencing manifold changes which reshape social relations, individual and societal needs, the structure of the labour market and the understanding of life. The school system has been overhauled in its dimensions; however, this dynamicity did not get a similar echo from the scientific community. The study at hand stands out by its intention to give voice to teachers and bring to the fore their digestion of both changes in schooling and the current changing environment. A sample of 30 teachers was given room to share their perceptions of change through semi-structured interviews.
The main finding of this research is the differentiated perception of the change by the teachers in three ideal types with associated different potentials to promote change: the instrumental understanding of the change as policy-oriented for a stable society, the vacillating understanding of the change as context adaptation-oriented for integration into the global world and the functional understanding of the change as human capital investment-oriented for a knowledge society. Again, this study reveals a differing perception of the changing world between optimism and pessimism. These findings have been discussed in line with theories of teachers¡¯ agency in change, school improvement, and globalization.

Within the field of contemporary archaeology, researchers encounter a very specific spectrum of sites and artefacts: Despite a close temporal proximity to the present time, or being well-preserved, it can often be difficult to interpret. This issue also becomes evident in the study of the fence system and concrete fence posts pertaining to the former army research centre Peenem¨¹nde and the subsequent phases of reuse of the site. This publication presents the architectural history of concrete fence posts, analyses them from a perspective of building research and archaeology, and provides a typology based on the case study of Peenem¨¹nde. Their fields of application as well as their sociocultural aspects are being addressed, spanning the time period from their first establishment to the middle of the 20th century. The fence systems at Peenem¨¹nde are presented in chronological order and according to their intended respective purposes, thus allowing to identify specific concepts of restricted military areas from different time periods. Of special importance is the development of electric fence systems, relating to the topic of fences around prisoner of war and concentration camps, which has not yet been investigated as a research question in its own right. Because of its ubiquity in the 20th century, the concrete fence post can easily be overlooked. It can nevertheless also be viewed controversially.

Through this volume, authors resist different forms of oppression and demonstrate the active roles of Afri-an women in shaping the narrative of theologies of liberation. As per the indigenous teachings of the Shona that Nehanda, a powerful and revered ancestral spirit speaks through female mediums, authors in this volume speak through writing to celebrate the work of our Circle matriarchs and their handmaids. Authors also claim freedom from oppression, socio-economic, environmental and all forms of global injustices using the narratives of the Circle matriarchs and the theologies which have been generated by them.

Im Zentrum standen Studienmotive und -verlauf, Inhaltsvermittlung und die Vorbereitung auf den weiteren Bildungs- bzw. Berufsweg durch das Bachelorstudium. Dabei stellten qualitativ-explorative Leitfadeninterviews einen ersten Forschungsschritt dar, auf die folgend eine standardisierte Onlinebefragung der Alumni der Abschlussjahrg?nge 2012 bis einschlie?lich 2022 durchgef¨¹hrt wurde. In dieser empirischen Forschungsarbeit werden Thematisierungsph?nomene in der genderspezifischer Ratgeberliteratur untersucht. Wie werden Jungen im Kontext der Mutter-Sohn-Beziehung dargestellt und was wird den Lesenden dabei implizit an Geschlechterrollenstereotypen und Erziehungsvorstellungen vermittelt? Zur Analyse dieser ratgeberspezifischen Thematisierungsph?nomene wird ein qualitativdiskursanalytischer und damit hypothesengenerierender Zugang gew?hlt.
Das Sample umfasst 22 Ratgeber zur Jungenerziehung, die zwischen 1990 und 2016 auf dem deutschen Buchmarkt erschienen sind. Dabei liegt der Fokus auf Textstellen, in denen die Mutter-Sohn-Beziehung thematisiert wird.
Als erstes zentrales Ergebnis wird das empirische Material zu vier Typen verschiedener Formen der Mutter-Sohn-Beziehung verdichtet. Diese unterscheiden sich hinsichtlich der Erziehungsverst?ndnisse und Verhaltensweisen von Mu?ttern und deren entwicklungshemmenden sowie f?rderlichen Effekten auf den Entwicklungsprozess von S?hnen. Das zweite zentrale Ergebnis umfasst Jungenbilder, die diesen Beziehungstypen zugrunde liegen. In diesen Bildern spiegeln sich einerseits jungenspezifische Identit?tsentwicklungen in Abgrenzung zu M?dchen und andererseits Handlungsanweisungen an Erziehende zur Herstellung einer jungenspezifischen Identit?tsstabilit?t wider.
Mit diesen Ergebnissen wird der bisherige Diskurs dahingehend angereichert, als hier explizit Ratgeber untersucht werden, die Erziehungsprozesse eines Geschlechts thematisieren. Die Bedeutung des Geschlechts fu?r die Herstellung von Erziehung sowie ratgeberspezifische Subjekt-, Wissens- und Machtstrukturen und deren m?gliche Wirkung auf Lesende dieses Genres werden reflektiert. While the application of quantitative methods to literary texts has already been established and has proven fruitful for analysis in literary and cultural studies, little attention has been paid to the potential of literary texts themselves to function as a setting for the examination of quantitative and quantifying thought structures. In this context, it is particularly important to discuss the diversity of aesthetic and poetic means of representing quantities and quantification on the basis of a diachronic and synchronic perspective and to explore their use in literature and culture. This is accompanied by the question of whether literature and culture can generate their own parameters for measuring quantities. On the one hand, the diachronic perspective reveals the interlocked nature of literary and cultural-historical developments, on the other, it exposes epoch-specific accentuations. Beyond this approach, it is of central interest whether and how literature and culture create epistemes that possess mechanisms for measuring the seemingly immeasurable, so that abstract nouns can be quantified as well. The analyses in this anthology testify to the fact that also this approach can be fruitful and enriching for literary studies. The contributions to this anthology are supplemented by an interview with the author Jonas L¨¹scher, who critically addresses the current methods of quantifying for our understanding and analysis of the world in his literary and essayistic work.

From 1987 to 2019, the magazine "Capri. Zeitschrift f¨¹r schwule Geschichte [= Capri. Journal for Gay History]" was published in Berlin. Going far beyond its function as a newsletter for the "friends of a gay museum", for more than three decades "Capri" provided a publication platform for original articles, source material, reviews and translations from the field of the history of male homosexuality that could not easily have been published elsewhere in this form. However, distribution was limited to members of the association, without any efforts being made to attract subscribers beyond this circle. Due to its relatively small circulation and limited distribution, "Capri" remained outside the field of vision of most libraries, despite its scientific importance. In view of the breadth and importance of the material provided in "Capri", it seemed necessary to digitise the issues of "Capri", of which only a few copies have been preserved in their entirety and at hardly any library location, and thus make them freely accessible to researchers in searchable form with an introduction.

The present study examines the resource-oriented approach of the feedback method "Learning Stories" in the developmentally sensitive area of the transition from primary to secondary school. The learning stories were introduced into the funding project WEICHENSTELLUNG, which supports children from disadvantaged families during the transition phase. The question posed by this study is to what extent the learning stories can support or promote self-esteem and (intrinsic) motivation during the transition. Using a longitudinal mixed-methods design, this question was examined as an example among the participants of the WEICHENSTELLUNG project in order to be able to make statements for this specific target group and beyond. Apart from the necessary consideration of the children's learning requirements in resource-oriented feedback, the learning stories offer significant opportunities to promote self-determined forms of motivation and self-esteem in the transition to secondary school and, accompanied by further studies, can be used in schools during the transition phase.

In der empirischen Forschungsarbeit stehen handlungsleitende Orientierungen von Kindern hinsichtlich ihrer Verortung in der Welt im Mittelpunkt. Untersucht wird, wie Kinder sich r?umlich verorten und ein Konstrukt bilden, welches umgangssprachlich als Heimat bezeichnet wird. Das Forschungsinteresse ist der empirischen Kindheitsforschung zuzuordnen. Theoretisch wird diese Arbeit in verschiedene, wissenschaftliche Diskursstr?nge um den vielf?ltigen Begriff der Heimat eingebettet.
Der Forschungsfrage wird mit einem qualitativ-rekonstruktiven Forschungszugang nachgegangen. Die Gruppendiskussionen mit Kindern werden mit der dokumentarischen Methode ausgewertet und zu sinngenetischen Typen verdichtet.
Als Basisorientierung lie? sich die Herstellung von Geborgenheit rekonstruieren. Die vier rekonstruierten Typen oszillieren zwischen dem Bedu?rfnis der Kinder nach einer stabilen, statischen Verortung in sozialen und physischen Ra?umen sowie der M?glichkeit sich fluide und flexibel in differenten, sozialen und physischen Ra?umen zu verorten.
In der Einordnung der Ergebnisse in den wissenschaftlichen Diskurs zentral sind Aspekte der territorialen Raumwahrnehmung, der Raummo?glichkeiten, der Verortung in Sozialit?t und der Frage danach, wie Kinder sich Heimat machen.
Anhand der Ergebnisse stellt sich f¨¹r die empirische, theoretische und praktische Weiterarbeit dar, den Blick auf die fluide, imaginierende Raumabstraktion der Kinder zu legen und sie konstruktiv zu begleiten, verschiedene Lebensweisen, R?ume und Sozialit?ten wertzusch?tzen, um sie in ihrer Beheimatung reflexiv p?dagogisch zu unterst¨¹tzen.

Migration is one of the most prominent cultural, socio-political, and economic questions of our time. Whether internal or cross-border, whether voluntary or forced, migration occurs for a variety of factors that are influenced by and rooted in regional and national, local and global interrelations, social and technological networks, organisations and institutions. In speaking about migration, one cannot ignore the possible intensification of migrants feeling displaced and their effort to re-embed their lives in host localities. The concept of displacement evokes images of being cut off from social and physical worlds that one calls home, which generates differentiated accounts of dispossession, disruption, and dislocation. The feeling of being cut off pushes migrants to open up and advance the notion of place-making or emplacement. Everyday place-making or emplacement is material and effective, resulting in migrants leaving traces in the places they cross. Emplacement, therefore, is a place-making practice where migrants repeatedly tell stories about their former homes, maintain connections to imaginary or real places of belonging, and reorganise the new homes into common categories.
"Displacement, Emplacement, and Migration: An Interdisciplinary Collection of Essays" examines the impact of the interlocking relationship between displacement, emplacement, and migration. Contributors bring the perspectives of history, art, politics, films, and literature to bear on discussions of belonging, home, dislocation, and identity politics for individuals and groups in the current migration studies landscape.

Serverless Computing is seen as a game changer in operating large-scale applications. While practitioners and researches often use this term, the concept they actually want to refer to is Function as a Service (FaaS). In this new service model, a user deploys only single functions to cloud platforms where the cloud provider deals with all operational concerns ¨C this creates the notion of server-less computing for the user.
Nonetheless, a few configurations for the cloud function are necessary for most commercial FaaS platforms as they influence the resource assignments like CPU time and memory. Due to these options, there is still an abstracted perception of servers for the FaaS user. The resource assignment and the different strategies to scale resources for public cloud offerings and on-premise hosted open-source platforms determine the runtime characteristics of cloud functions and are in the focus of this work. Compared to cloud offerings like Platform as a Service, two out of the five cloud computing characteristics improved. These two are rapid elasticity and measured service. FaaS is the first computational cloud model to scale functions only on demand. Due to an independent scaling and a strong isolation via virtualized environments, functions can be considered independent of other cloud functions. Therefore, noisy neighbor problems do not occur. The second characteristic, measured service, targets billing. FaaS platforms measure execution time on a millisecond basis and bill users accordingly based on the function configuration. This leads to new performance and cost trade-offs.
Therefore, this thesis proposes a simulation approach to investigate this tradeoff in an early development phase. The alternative would be to deploy functions with varying configurations, analyze the execution data from several FaaS platforms and adjust the configuration. However, this alternative is time-consuming, tedious and costly. To provide a proper simulation, the development and production environment should be as similar as possible. This similarity is also known as dev-prod parity. Based on a new methodology to compare different virtualized environments, users of our simulation framework are able to execute functions on their machines and investigate the runtime characteristics for different function configurations at several cloud platforms without running their functions on the cloud platform at all. A visualization of the local simulations guide the user to choose an appropriate function configuration to resolve the mentioned trade-off dependent on their requirements.

From left to right, from promoting participation to undermining democracy; they come in various forms and exist in every media system; they are as significant as professional journalism but are often dismissed as unqualified: alternative media. As they still receive various attributions to date, the scientific community struggles to explain contemporary alternative media. For society, their emergence, aspirations, and significance often remain nebulous. This is problematic, as only knowledge about alternative media can fully comprehend contemporary media systems.
Therefore, this work addresses the topic from a theoretical perspective. It draws on existing works on alternative media and utilizes them for a current definition and evaluation. The study shows that the heterogeneous field of alternative media today encompasses viewpoints from all ideologies, with the common element being criticism of mainstream media. Nevertheless, contemporary alternative media shares essential similarities with its "antagonists." As a result, the work contributes to a better understanding and theoretical advancement of the subject.
