NaWiD meets Finland
Dr. Yelva Larsen visited Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) in Finland together with other members of German universities as part of an excursion organized by the Foundation for Innovation in Higher Education. LUT has integrated sustainability in an impressive way and promotes the concept of the handprint, which emphasizes positive contributions to the environment and society. The aim of the excursion was to learn about the implementation of sustainability aspects based on the UNESCO Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at LUT. On site, contacts were made with members of the LUT and challenges, strategies and solutions for improving sustainability in higher education were discussed. We look forward to long-term cooperation with the LUT - also in project work!
