Chair of International Relations

The Chair's team comprises Prof. Dr. Monika Heupel and secretary Claudia Genslein as well as a number of graduate lecturers and researchers plus students as teaching and research assistants. 

Our research focuses on the conditions of international cooperation, the legitimacy and effectiveness of international organizations, and the transformation of global order structures.

In teaching, we offer three main thematic areas: international cooperation and institutions, foreign policy decision-making, and norms in international politics. We also offer qualitative methods courses and supervise the Bamberg National Model United Nations project.
