Meike Bauer
Since October 2024 Meike Bauer is a student assistant at the NLP group led by Prof. Dr. Roman Klinger. She is working on the EMCONA project supervised by Lynn Greschner, that investigates the interplay of emotions and convincingness in arguments. In particular, she is interested in the application and finetuning of Large Language Models for emotion analysis in text. She is also eager to learn about psychologic topics and theories.
Currently she is studying Applied Computer Science in the Master's program at the University of Bamberg. At the same university she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Information Systems in 2023. Her Bachelor's thesis was about AI-Narratives in university and organizational contexts.
Janne Wagner
Since May 2025 Janne Wagner is a student assistant at our group. She is working on the CEAT project with Johannes. In particular, she is interested in detecting appraisals in texts as part of contextualized emotion analysis.
She is currently studying Applied Computer Science M.Sc. at the University of Bamberg. Before that, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Philosophy at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2024. Her thesis was in the field of software design & quality and law. The subject of her research was Data Protection by Design and Model-based Software Architecture in the domain of Vehicle-2-X Communication.
