New Postdoc: Sean Papay joins BamNLP
At the beginning of the month, Sean Papay joined our research group. Sean will enrich BamNLP with his expertise in machine learning, efficient inference in graphical models, and various applications between linguistics, computational social sciences, and computer science. In teaching, he will initially offer (together with Sabine Weber) a seminar on explainable machine learning of NLP models and a lecture on the use of probabilistic graphical models for NLP problems.
Sean obtained his PhD at the Institute for Natural Language Processing in Stuttgart after completing his Master's degree there.
Welcome, Sean!
