Brief biography

Thomas Theobald is Head of the Unit Financial Markets and Economic Cycle at Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK) in Düsseldorf. Thomas received his PhD at the Free University of Berlin in 2014 and he completed his studies in mathematics and economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt am Main until 2010. He has cooperated in research projects that has been funded by the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Institute for New Economic Thinking. He has published in journals like International Journal of Forecasting and Cambridge Journal of Economics.

Fields of Research

Forecasting models, macroeconomic modelling, financial markets and regulations
