The objective of the degree programme is critically to evaluate scientific methods and their relevance to problem solving, to advance these respective methods, and to make a contribution to problem solving at an interdisciplinary level. The curriculum is focused on providing students with skills pertaining to managerial and corporate information systems in the realms of economics and administration, and also on conveying knowledge of information systems for the private sector.
It is also possible to individualize studies by choosing a specific core area of focus. Upon completion of the respective subjects, one of the following study specialisations can be declared:
- Digital Analytics and Artificial Intelligence
 - Digital Health
 - Digital Transformation
 - Energy and Sustainability
 - Systems Engineering
