Admission and enrolment (The M.Sc. Program is taught in GERMAN)
Admission to the Digital Technologies in Heritage Conservation Master's programme requires a university degree or an equivalent domestic or foreign degree with a standard period of study of at least six semesters, comprising 180 ECTS credits and an overall grade of 3.0 or better, in a related degree programme.
Related degree programmes include architecture, civil engineering and all degrees in the area of preservation of historical monuments and cultural assets, building restoration and conservation, building in existing contexts and building heritage, computer science and applied computer science, digital humanities, (digital) art history, archaeology, geography, surveying, archives or interior design. In individual cases, the examination board can decide whether a specific degree programme is considered to be related.

Application are possible from mid-May until the enrolment deadline for the winter semester (usually at the beginning of October, please see the link for the exact date). However, we kindly ask that you apply early, by 15 July, so that your application can be processed promptly.
You are welcome to enclose a letter of motivation, which you can upload under "Optional communications". A letter of motivation is not obligatory, but helps us to assess why you are interested in Digital Technologies in Heritage Conservation and to what extent your previous studies (possibly from a degree programme not mentioned above) are a suitable background for taking up the programme.
Enrolment takes place via the Student Office of the University of Bamberg (Studierendenkanzlei). Further information can be found on the Application and Admission pages.
The course takes place at both Bamberg University and the Coburg University of Applied Sciences. Students will enrol at Coburg as secondary students, and thus a semester ticket for free travel to Coburg is included.
