Programme Profile
The four-semester master’s programme in Religious Literacy enhances students’ understanding of religious traditions and their significance in various relevant contexts. These include the interreligious relations of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, (Christian) religion in the public sphere and as a cultural factor in a plural society, as well as teaching (Christian) religion in educational institutions.
The range of offered courses covers a broad interdisciplinary spectrum and offers insights into the topics and methodologies of a variety of subjects. The degree programme is characterised by a high level of individual flexibility in terms of content and qualification goals. This flexibility is especially evident in the choice of specialisation areas (Interreligious Studies, Public Theology, Religion and Education, Theological Studies).
