Set up VPN

Please note!

Your computer, which is centrally managed by the IT service of the University of Bamberg, automatically establishes a connection via eduVPN if you are not in the university's data network. 
(If you are already in the university's data network when you log in, the automatic start of eduVPN will be suppressed).

This is imperative, as if your computer is not connected to the university's data network, you will no longer be able to log in after some time. In addition, your computer would no longer receive the centrally distributed updates and security settings and would lose protection against malware and cyber attacks.

To use eduVPN, you must initially log in with your university user account.
To do this, proceed as described under Setting up set up eduVPN.
