David Rochholz
External Doctoral Candidate
David Rochholz is an external doctoral candidate at the Chair of Information Systems, specifically Information Systems Management, at Otto-Friedrich-University Bamberg. He completed his Bachelor’s (B.Sc.) and Master’s (M.Sc.) degrees in Applied Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt. His bachelor’s thesis was conducted in collaboration with the Chair of Software Engineering at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, while his master’s thesis was developed in cooperation with the National Polytechnic University of Odessa and the company collect Artificial Intelligence of the Otto Group. During his studies, David gained international experience, including a traineeship at the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC) of the European Space Agency (ESA) near Madrid, an internship in business development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and a semester abroad in Odessa, Ukraine. In 2022, he expanded his qualifications with an MBA degree from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
After completing his studies in computer science, David began his career as a Data Engineer. Since 2018, he has been working at Netlight Consulting, initially supporting clients in Hamburg and Frankfurt. Since 2022, he has been building the Cologne office. His professional focus is on supporting companies in their digital transformation efforts.
David's research interests center around the impact of digital platforms, particularly B2B platforms, on organizations – including topics such as their valuation and the development of digital partnerships through co-value creation.
In his free time, David enjoys cycling and cooking, with a particular passion for preparing fresh pasta.
