Maximilian Valta
M. Sc. International Information Systems Management
Maximilian Valta is an external PhD student at the Chair of Information Systems, Health and Society in the Digital Age.
He completed his Bachelor's and Master's program in International Information Systems Management at the University of Bamberg. From 2017 to 2020, he was involved as a student assistant at the Chair of Information Systems and Services (ISS). As part of an Erasmus scholarship, he studied a semester at the University of Oslo with a focus on Digital Innovation and Transformation. During his Master's program, he interned at Lufthansa Systems in New York in the field of Process Optimization and Automation. Maximilian's primary occupation is as an IT Consultant at MID GmbH, specializing in Requirements Engineering, Digital Transformation, and Process Management.
In his research, Maximilian addresses the successful development, implementation, and use of digital technologies in companies, as well as the challenges arising for companies and employees (e.g. Technostress). Additionally, he focuses on user interface design and its effects on users, investigating concepts such as Digital Nudging.
His research work has been published and presented in conference proceedings such as HICSS, AMCIS, SIGMIS CPR. His research was honored with the Magid Igbaria Outstanding Conference Paper of the Year Award at SIGMIS CPR 2022. Maximilian has also served as a reviewer for various conferences (e.g. ECIS, HICSS, AMCIS, WI) and journals (e.g. Information Systems Research, Internet Research).
