Part-time Studies
Since the 2011/12 winter semester, it has been possible to study the bachelor’s degree programme in Archaeology part-time.
Studying part time offers students with children, part-time jobs, disabilities or chronic illnesses in particular the opportunity to reduce their workload during the semester and, as a result, extend the duration of their studies.
The duration of the bachelor’s degree programme is extended from six semesters to 12 semesters when studied part-time. For master’s degree programmes, the duration of study is six or eight semesters instead of three or four.
You may enrol in a degree programme part-time without justifying your decision. You may also switch from a full-time model to a part-time model during any semester’s enrolment period. This reduces the workload in each semester by half.
Part-time studies are subject to the part-time study regulations(140.9 KB) (in German).
