Habilitation

The aim of the habilitaton process is to afford exceptionally qualified young academics the possibility to independently conduct research and teach courses, and to, with the assistance of a senior academic mentor, qualify themselves for an appointment to a full professorship in a particular field within a maximum of four years.

The habilitation serves to create a formal basis for the establishment of a particular scholar’s aptitude in the academic and teaching-related skills required of a person in such a position.
