IFIP TC13 Pioneer Award

Tom Gross receives the IFIP TC13 Pioneer Award of the International Federation for Information Processing which honours the greatest contributors to the development and growth of the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). 

The International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) is the leading multinational, apolitical organisation in information and communications technologies and sciences. IFIP is recognised by United Nations and other world bodies. It represents IT Societies from over 40 countries or regions. The Technical Committee (TC) 13 focuses on Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), an interdisciplinary area of the study and research that centres on the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, application, and the study of use of human-centred interactive computational systems, devices and objects.
