Education
In our modules, we offer unique courses that convey relevant fundamentals for the design, development, operation and research of motivational and gamified information systems (e.g., Designing Gamified Systems). Our courses focus on the design of immersive information systems based on new technologies such as Mixed, Virtual, and Augmented Reality (e.g., Immersive Information Systems) and examine the economic and social impacts of the Metaverse phenomenon (e.g., Metaverse Project Seminar).
The courses increasingly rely on the didactic principle of challenge-based and research-based learning. Goal of this approach is to develop not only theoretical knowledge but also skills such as critical thinking, independent problem-solving, active learning, creativity, teamwork, and technology design. In most of our courses, students learn through conducting a design, development, or research project (see symbols in the lectures).
