Registration for State Examinations

Registration deadlines are the same every year:

First State Examination:

  • If you wish to take the examination in the spring (i.e. after the winter semester), you must register between 1 June and 1 August of the preceding year.
  • If you wish to take the examination in autumn (i.e. after the summer semester), you must register between 1 December of the preceding year and 1 February.

Registration for the First State Examination does NOT take place via FlexNow.

 State Practical Sports Examination:

  • If you wish to take the examination in the spring (i.e. after the winter semester), you must register between 11 May and 10 December of the preceding year.
  • If you wish to take the examination in autumn (i.e. after the summer semester), you must register between 11 December of the preceding year and 10 May.

Please refer to the relevant notices in the Office of Examinations and in the Athletics Centre for the examination period.

Registration for the State Practical Sports Examination takes place via FlexNow.

Please be aware that the practical sports examinations must have already been completed at the time of admission to the First State Examination.

In view of this, all students are strongly advised to plan their practical sports examinations in such a timely manner that they are completed in all examination segments at least one semester before taking the First State Examination.
