Responsibilities
The Office of Examinations is responsible for managing all examinations at the University of Bamberg.
This specifically includes:
- examination registration and deregistration
- registration of final theses
- admission to examinations
- the establishment of examination dates and scheduling of examination rooms
- notification of examination results
- production of final documents and degree certificates
- and all other matters required for the organisation of examinations.
- handling applications for the postgraduate traineeship (Referendariat) for teaching in the Grundschule und Hauptschule

Section 3 is responsible for:
- Teacher training degree programmes
- Magister degree programmes
- Bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes in Vocational Education/Social Pedagogy and Social Services
- Master’s degree programme in Heritage Conservation
- Master’s degree programme in Digital Technologies in Heritage Conservation
- University of applied sciences degree programme in Social Work
