Jon Meyer, M.A.

Jon Meyer is a PhD student at the Chair of Digital Transformation. He teaches courses on the governance of digital platforms, technology governance, material infrastructures and policies of digital transformation.

Jon Meyer studied philosophy, environmental sciences and political science and is currently researching digital governance and platformisation, with a particular focus on the regulation of artificial intelligence in Europe. His research focuses in particular on the practical implications of the EU AI Act for German companies, including the negotiation processes around regulatory requirements, implementation strategies and governance models for AI systems. He is also interested in the role of material infrastructures in the digital transformation as well as the political and economic implications of data-driven technologies, for example in the field of digital farming.
