The University of Economics, Prague (V?E), founded in 1953, is the biggest public university of economics in the Czech Republic. V?E has six faculties offering applicants a broad spectrum of bachelor, master, PhD and MBA study programmes. Five faculties are located in the centre of Prague – Finance and Accounting, International Relations, Business Administration, Informatics and Statistics as well as Economics.
The Faculty of Management is located in the town of Jind?ich?v Hradec. Studies at V?E meet the requirements of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). Currently, there are about 15,000 students at V?E. V?E offers bachelor degree study programmes in Czech, English, and Russian; master degree study programmes are offered in Czech and English. Application and admission
During the application for winter term, the double degree programme application is included in the regular application process for either the Master in Business Administration and/or the Master in Finance and Accounting. Admission to the second year of study
If you have started your studies at the University of Economics Prague (as your home university) and come to Bamberg for your second year of study, you will have to go through a simplified admission process. This begins with you being nominated by your home university. You will then receive all the information you need from the International Office (IO) of the University of Bamberg to prepare for your academic year in Bamberg (halls of residence, introductory and language courses, etc.). Unlike regular exchange students, double degree students are regularly enrolled in Bamberg. You must submit an application via the online application procedure of the Registrar's Office. You will receive an email with all important information and deadlines after your nomination. Please wait until you are contacted by the SoWi double degree coordinator. You will then find the online application here:
There will also be an introductory event for double degrees at the SoWi at the beginning of the semester where you will have the opportunity to get to know other students who are also studying for a double degree. You will also receive a personal invitation by email.
Study programme for all DD students
The study programme comprises 4 semesters.Students study the first two semesters (or Master 1, Bac + 4) at the respective home institution and the last two semesters (or Master 2, Bac +5) at the respective host university. During their stay at the host university, students remain enrolled at their home institution.
The credits earned in accordance with the double degree programme are recognised as equivalent by both institutions. The detailed course of study depends primarily on where the programme is started. The following overview is intended to provide planning and orientation, but the course of study may differ slightly in individual cases.Students on the double degree must always conclude an individual credit transfer agreement with the programme coordinators at both universities, which is based on the current status of the regulations of the degree programmes involved.
