Double Master with Lille Catholic University
Founded in 1875, Université Catholique de Lille is a comprehensive institution, unique in France. The university is characterized by interdisciplinarity, anchored in humanist values, open to diversity, and respectful towards all opinions. It consists of five faculties, 20 ? Grandes ?coles ? (graduate schools in engineering and business), schools, and institutes, as well as a hospital group. It is France’s largest private not-for-profit university, with an enrolment of 33,000 students, and 300 degree programmes in six departments.
The university’s excellent reputation is due to its active and innovative teaching methods. Many courses are taught in a small-group format and ensure closer attention to student progress. In line with its tradition of openness, Université Catholique de Lille was one of the pioneering French universities in the area of international mobility, signing partnership agreements with American universities as early as the 1970s.
Through teaching, research, and mentoring, through resources that facilitate creative innovations, and through its student life and services offered, the university accomplishes its mission aiming at general education and public benefit.
The double degree programme links two degrees:

International Accreditations
All Master programmes at the Faculté de Gestion, ?conomie & Sciences (FGES) are subject to a national accreditation provided by a French state partner university of the faculty. Both Master programmes in the double degree programme passed this accreditation in 2018 and undergo on-going quality reviews.

Application and admission
During the application for winter term, the double degree programme application is included in the regular application process for either the Master in Business Administration and/or the Master in Finance and Accounting. Students starting the programme in Lille (Lille Catholic University = home institution)
Admission to the second year of study
If you have started your studies at Lille Catholic University (as your home university) and come to Bamberg for your second year of study, you will have to go through a simplified admission process. This begins with you being nominated by your home university. You will then receive all the information you need from the International Office (IO) of the University of Bamberg to prepare for your academic year in Bamberg (halls of residence, introductory and language courses, etc.). Unlike regular exchange students, double degree students are regularly enrolled in Bamberg. You must submit an application via the online application procedure of the Registrar's Office. You will receive an email with all important information and deadlines after your nomination. Please wait until you are contacted by the SoWi double degree coordinator. You will then find the online application here:
There will also be an introductory event for double degrees at the SoWi at the beginning of the semester where you will have the opportunity to get to know other students who are also studying for a double degree. You will also receive a personal invitation by email.
Study programme for all DD students
The study programme comprises 4 semesters. Students spend the first two semesters (Master 1, Bac +4, respectively) at their home institution and the last two semesters (Master 2, Bac +5, respectively) at the host institution. During their stay at the host institution, students remain enrolled at their home institution. Both institutions recognize the academic credit earned according to the double degree programme mutually and equivalently. At the University of Bamberg, course credit and credit recognition are governed by the examination regulations for the master degree programme in Business Administration and the examination regulations for the master degree program in Finance and Accounting.

Course credit and credit recognition are regulated by the examination regulations at Lille Catholic University. Students initially admitted in Bamberg may choose from all areas of focus being part of the master degree programme in business administration and management.
