Transfer

The Cognitive Systems team is engaged in transfer activities in the following fields:

  • Applications of AI/machine learning methods for
    • production: Here we collaborate with companies in different joint projects (see research page), supervise master as well as doctoral theses in collaboration with companies (see external team members and theses page). Furthermore, we are establishing an SME-AI-Experience Center (see webpage).
    • image based medical diagnostics: In several third party funded projects we develop neuro-symbolic, explainable, human-in-the-loop methods for medical diagnostics (see research page).
    • for plant health diagnostics: In cooperation with the city of Bamberg we provide methods for classification of trees and tree health (see project page BaKIM).
  • Intelligent tutoring systems for several educational domains (see ITS webpage).
  • Computer Science and AI Education: Development of learning material, workshops and courses for different age groups, see webpages KI und Schule and FELI.
