What's new in the Winter Semester 2024/2025?
In the upcoming winter semester, we have restructured our course Research Issues in Banking and Financial Control. Up until now, our seminar was focused on investigating current issues using empirical methods. This will now change:
In the new module Research Issues in Banking and Financial Control, taught by Matthias Muck, we will place a stronger emphasis on the content of a specific focus issue. This year, we have chosen the theme Sustainable Finance. As part of the seminar papers, students will work on questions proposed by the chair using scientific literature.
You can incorporate the module (6 ECTS) into your studies as before:
- Master's in Business Administration: Research
- Master's in International Business Administration (120 ECTS): Business Research
- Master's in International Business Administration (60 ECTS): International Business Administration
- Master's in Finance & Accounting: Methods and Research
Additionally, we are introducing the new module Empirical Data Analysis in Finance taught by Yana Sokolova, which focuses on empirical methods and their applications. This will be supported by a practice-oriented tutorial by Thomas Schmidl.
You can incorporate the module (6 ECTS) as follows:
- Master's in Business Administration: SBWL Banking and Financial Controlling
- Master's in International Business Administration (120 ECTS): Sub-area Banking & Financial Controlling
- Master's in Finance & Accounting: Methods and Research
We hope to offer you an interesting new program and look forward to a high level of participation.
