After her appointment to the chair in Bamberg, she served as Vice Dean for Learning and Teaching of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Business Administration between 2008 and 2017.
Her many external functions included coordinator of the methods team of the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS); Member of the Council for Social and Economic Data (RatSWD) (since 2008); Member of the Scientific Advisory Board for the collection of official statistics and of the Federal Government’s Scientific Advisory Board for the German Census (Census Commission) (since 2011).
