Lecture: AI in Process Mining

In real-world workflows, processes rarely follow the ideal, "to-be" design. They are often messy, full of inefficiencies, and plagued with data quality issues. 

Artificial intelligence can help alleviate these problems by supporting process discovery, conformity checking, and even process enhancement. 

From integrating unstructured data sources into the event log to empowering process experts in process improvement tasks, generative AI methods are a promising tool to enhance and extend traditional process mining tasks and help transforming messy "as-is" processes into more optimal, value-creating workflows.
