Career Prospects
The B.Sc. Software Systems Science is a first professional qualification in Computer Science. At the end of your studies, you will be proficient in developing correct and efficient software, are knowledgeable in methods, languages and tools for the development of complex software, and can solve architectural problems creatively.
Typical fields of employment for our graduates are:
- Software development and consultancy. You may be employed for the analysis, planning and realisation of large software projects in IT companies or, equally well, for consulting services in large software consulting firms.
- Software architecture. You work as a software architect in an IT systems house or a software company, and are responsible for the efficient realisation of IT-strategies using modern software engineering methods and techniques.
- Development and operation of IT infrastructures. You deal with server infrastructures, web portals and cloud services, e.g., for banks or telecommunications companies or in e-commerce.
Given your excellent subject knowledge gained during your studies and your ability to work creatively within project teams, you fulfill the employment criteria of internationally leading companies.
