Watch our video on the JMIS Paper and learn more about corporate nomadism
You may remember that a few months ago we introduced you to Professor Mirbabaie's new paper, “Corporate Nomads: Working at the Boundary Between Corporate Work and Digital Nomadism,” which he published in collaboration with his colleagues Dr. Julian Marx and Prof. Dr. Stefan Stieglitz in the prestigious journal JMIS.
Imagine there are people who are both permanently employed and as free as digital nomads—they travel, work remotely, and thus combine the security of a job with the flexibility of a nomadic lifestyle. This paper focuses on precisely these corporate nomads: it examines how they master this apparent contradiction – and in doing so, exciting insights into a three-stage process in which digital technologies play a central role have been gained.
