Der Lehrstuhl für Verteilte Systeme ist Teil des Fachbereichs Informatik und wird seit Oktober 2025 von Prof. Dr.-Ing. Tobias Distler geleitet. Zuvor trug die bereits seit der Gründung der Fakult?t WIAI existierende Arbeitsgruppe über 20 Jahre lang den Namen Lehrstuhl für Praktische Informatik.
